Can We Just… Centers around conversations between friends, colleagues and amazing humans who care passionately about important conversations that may plant seeds for new perspectives. Vancouver-based Nicole Sjostedt takes on season 3 of the CWJ podcast and continues to build on what co-creators Nicole Sjostedt & Christina Tan and co- host on Season 2 Marlayna Pincott started. With a down to earth feel, this podcast dives into all sorts of discussions around everyday life experiences. We're no pros, no experts, but as a women in her 40s, who has lived a bit of life, there's "stuff" to talk about! Our individual experiences and all of the outstanding people I've had the pleasure of meeting along my journey, could add a lot of interesting POV's to the table. We dive deep, we are light with laughter and we keep it real.

Adoption playing a huge role in both of our paths detaching both of us from our culture and knowledge of our ancestral lineage. We talk about growing up feeling, as some would say, "other" and walk you through our different journeys from childhood experiences straight through to adulthood. We talk about finding out our heritages through DNA testing and from there starting to connect the dots piece by piece. We chat about the affects of feeling overlooked, misunderstood, denied and silenced by family, friends and society. We walk you through some pretty eye-opening experiences we endured as children being shuffled into the "other category". We also open up about overcoming fear of stepping into our identity and reconnecting with our cultures
